Wild Salad

This is my favorite salad in spring, because every ingredient is a wild plant found in my yard. Not all these plants will be in your yard, necessarily, so you might want to find a book like Peterson's Guide to Edible Plants and see what salad plants you can find in your area. Before you eat any plants from the wild, make absolutely sure you've identified them properly, and don't eat anything that grows too close to the road, because it might have toxins in it.

Wash off carefully and toss in a salad bowl, and top with your favorite vegan dressing (I like Annie's Goddess Dressing). If you can't find enough wild plants for a whole salad, you can just use them to supplement a regular lettuce-based salad.
