Vegan Products
Here are some of my favorite vegan products, some of were designed to be vegetarian or vegan, and some of which are accidentally vegan. I try to make most of my own food, but there are some things I just can't make.

Westsoy Lite Soy Milk
This stuff is delicious. I use it for drinking plain, pouring over cereal, making soy-based drinks, and baking. The soy taste is really not that noticable and you get used to it after a while. I used to drink Silk, which is also delicious, but their Light version isn't organic, so I decided to switch. Westsoy is also shelf-stable, which is nice. |

Gimme Lean
I use this for everything: tacos, sloppy joes, meatloaf, anywhere you would use ground beef. It has zero fat but holds together amazingly well, and it tastes great. The sausage style is one of the few egg-free veggie sausages out there, and also tastes great. |

Chreese
I always loved macaroni and cheese as a child, and vegan attempts at cheese are usually pretty bad in my experience, so this wonderful alternative from Road's End Organics is a godsend. It doesn't taste exactly like cheese, but it has a nice flavor of its own. You can buy it in boxes with various types of pasta, or in separate packs to make however you like. I usually mix it with elbow macaroni, meatless meatballs, and peas. I use it so much that I like to buy it in bulk from Vegan Essentials. |

Nate's Meatless Meatballs
These are so good, I'm sure a hardcore meateater wouldn't know they're vegan. I use them for spaghetti and meatballs, add them to mac & chreese, or make them into a meatball sub. |

Vegan Rella
I admit, this stuff doesn't really taste like cheese, and there's a brand I won't mention that I used to eat that was much better but made with hydrogenated oil. So I switched to Vegan Rella, which is better than some vegan cheeses I've tried, and melts quite well, although it's as drippy as any soy cheese. Anyway, I love the cheddar style for sandwiches and sprinkling on chili or tacos, and the mozzarella style is delicious on pizza. |

Soy Dream
Soy Dream is the best dairy-free ice cream ever. It's rich and creamy but not too high in fat or calories. They used to make a delicious mint-chocolate chip flavor, which I can't seem to find anymore, but their mocha swirl and fudge brownie flavors are also excellent. |

VeganSweets Marshmallows
These are, as far as I know, the only vegan marshmallows on the market. They are delicious, with even more flavor than the typical gelatin-based marshmallows, and they work fine for roasting, dropping in hot soy cocoa, or making rice crispie squares. They're made by the excellent vegan store Pangea, which just happens to be within driving distance of my house. |

 |
VeganLife supplements
I take these every day for B12, calcium, folate, iron, and other nutrients that I have trouble getting. They're totally animal-free, unlike most vitamins, and they have no artificial sweeteners or other additives. They're also made by Pangea. |

Non-leather Birkenstocks
Birkenstocks are the most comfortable shoes in the world, and I would wear them year-round if I could, so I love it that they make an animal-free version. I hear they've stopped making them, so I might just have to keep getting my current pair resoled for the rest of my life. Also, Vegetarian Shoes makes a knock-off that looks like it might suffice. |
