Moon phase: Waxing crescent Weather: Warm This is a toad trillium (Trillium cuneatum). This one hasn't bloomed yet, but they have a nice red three-petaled flower. I also like the mottled leaves. This photo was also taken in Rock Creek Park on the DC/Maryland line.
